About this Mastermind Session
Leading in design has always been a tricky balance between leading craft and leading teams. Roles that require very different hats and leadership styles. This masterclass will provide you a framework to help understand the leadership style you need to lean on in order to find the right balance.
Why does it matter?
Creative leaders often find themselves in a rock and a hard place between the expectations their teams put on them, the business puts on them and the expectations they put on themselves. This pressure cooker can sometimes leave creative leaders feeling immense pressure, imposter syndrome and disempowered, losing sight of their power and purpose.
This mastermind will help you create clarity by aligning what you want to achieve and the leadership style you’ll need to shape in order to move forward. We want you to feel empowered and energised about your role, purpose and team.
What will I leave with?
You will leave with a framework for you (and members of your team) on how to balance your leadership style from being directive to being facilitative. This fine balance is the key to great leadership in the modern world. There is no one size fits all approach to leadership and by finding the right balance, you’ll be able to navigate the tricky nuances of leadership.

Leaning on leadership expert and author, Gillian Davis, founder of OverTime Leader a boutique consultancy with a deep specialism on leadership transformation in the modern workplace having worked with Design leadership teams at companies like Spotify, Typeform and Wetransfer.
Gillian will share with us her insights around the challenges and opportunities of design leadership and walk us through a framework that you can apply immediately to help you feel empowered and in control of your leadership.
