We welcome Inside Out® Community Advisor Marty Davies.
Marty will take us through some remarkable examples of authentic LGBTQIA+ creative work and share where they think the big opportunities are next for brands. As a trans non-binary person who is also Campaign’s first trans columnist, she is uniquely placed to help marketers navigate the fears marketers have about backlash to trans+ representation in our creative work.

About our speaker
Marty Davies (she/they) is a proud attention-seeker. She is an award-winning creative strategist, campaigner, writer, advertising industry thought leader, and change maker. She sits at the intersection between LGBTQIA+ culture, history, rights, the creative industries, and the attention economy. Marty founded their own creative strategy consultancy in 2018 – Smarty Pants Consultancy – that’s historically specialised in customer activation and retention. They’ve won awards for their customer engagement strategies. Their small team has helped unlock over €100 million in incremental revenue for their clients with embedded teams inside brands like Just Eat Takeaway. They were named one of Campaign’s Trailblazers in 2023 and on Campaign’s A List in 2024.
The consultancy has evolved over the past year to support brands and agencies seeking to get LGBTQIA+ inclusion right in their creative campaigns and in their product and service experience design.
They are Co-Founder of Trans+ Adland and Joint CEO of industry advocacy group, Outvertising.
